The National Council on Sexual Addiction & Compulsivity (NCSAC) has information for both therapists and the recovery community. Their next national conference, open to all, will take place in Nashville, TN in the fall of 2002. This conference always delivers one of the best educational opportunities for those interested in the latest research on sexual addiction topics. Sharon O’Hara is a professional member of NCSAC and has presented her work on energy therapy and sexual addiction at several national conferences. EMDR is a trauma-recovery method that helps eliminate post-traumatic stress symptoms associated with painful psychological memories. EMDR treatment should only be conducted by a licensed therapist trained by the EMDR Institute. Sharon O’Hara has completed both Level One and Level Two training, and she has been using EMDR with sex addicts and sexual trauma survivors since 1996.
